We are Alive in Christ...

Equipping, encouraging, and serving others to grow the family of God in the one true faith.

Pastor Wixon, Justin, spent 15 years in the public school system teaching high school science and coaching softball and baseball.

Now he applies those same skills to ministry.  As worship leader at Alive in Christ Church since 2019, he explains how the Gospel applies to our everyday lives and encourages service to one another in every day ways.

He and his wife Susan have 5 children, two college graduates that are both married, two in high school, and one in elementary school.  As a family they are active in many sporting and church events.

Hobbies/Interests                                                Hiking, kayaking, and spending time with family

Favorite Bible Verse:                                          Proverbs 3:5 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding."

I say this daily as I drive and find myself getting upset with little things.  Just trust in God and he will guide you.

God's Word in my life:                                    Going to Church and  knowing God keeps me grounded.  I can easily slip into making life about me (and I have) but then when I focus on what really matters, it's not about me, it is about what God has done for me.  This helps me deal with all the troubles in life from the little things to the big things.  I know God has my back and I cannot ever repay him for what he has done for me.  I am a sinner but the love he has for me is infinite and no one can ever take that away from me.
